The Accounting Manager will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities.
Directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, and budgetary controls and control of all General Ledger activities. -
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares financial reports. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, documenting business transactions. Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position. Establishes, modifies, documents and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. Devises and implements computer-based systems for general accounting. Directs activities of clerical workers performing accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
--- Directs accounting department in preparation of all financial reports following accepted accounting principles.
--- Leads management team in developing operating budgets.
--- Supervises staff measuring actual performance against projections. -
--- Approves revisions to projections if so indicated.
--- Works with the Chief Financial officer to develop and carry out long-term financial goals and plans for major capital investments. -
--- Prepares frequent reports on corporation's financial performance.
--- Establishes internal controls and audit procedures to ensure proper financial management. -
--- Using QuickBooks Advanced, maintain multiple General Ledger's using Class numbers
--- Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel in the Accounting Department. This individual recommends training requirements, has the duty to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives, and may recommend that personnel be hired or removed from the Department.
--- Maintains the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
--- Responsible for providing the organization and its management with the appropriate financial and operating information necessary. -
--- This individual and the accounting staff are expected to work closely with other department groups on problems involving accounting systems and financial planning.
--- This position's duties are management reporting and policymaking as it pertains to the Department. -
--- Clearly communicate and manage expectations with clients and internal team members.
--- Learn clients' businesses and audiences at a depth that will enable you to maximize your ability to provide and manage solutions that will help clients achieve business objectives.
--- Lead the strategy development and oversee the implementation.
--- Monitor campaign performance and lead out on optimizing campaigns to meet KPIs.
--- Ensure that all campaigns, programs, and projects are being delivered according to expectations and promptly address any client satisfaction issues.
--- Meet with internal teams and clients regularly to review progress and performance.
--- Stay on top of industry trends, innovations, and challenges.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred
--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -
--- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to accepted accounting principles.
--- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Advanced or related software and other accounting software programs. -
--- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier. -
--- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. -
--- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. -
--- Proven problem solver, conflict resolver, and strategic thinker
--- Good analytic skills, mathematical and verbal abilities.
--- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to follow through on projects until completion. -
--- Dedicated professional that is looking to exceed expectations
--- Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach.
Qualifications and Experience Preferred
--- Bachelor's degree required. -
--- Master of Business Administration preferred.
--- Five to eight years of experience with good management skills demonstrated.
--- CPA certification is desirable but not required.
