Job Description:

We are a fast-growing real estate coaching and training company in Lakewood Ranch, FL and we have an opportunity for a motivated, experienced Accounting Clerk (or similar type experience) who is ready to take it to the next level. We need someone to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting/bookkeeping/finance requirements. There is also a lot of problem solving and project-based work so it's not just doing the books. You need to feel comfortable thinking outside the box to get things done while being very detail oriented. You'll need to be good at staying organized and being able to prioritize each day carefully because we're growing.
Confidentiality, excellent organization skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. Time management and personal accountability is a must. This is a unique opportunity to join a small and experienced team and get exposed to all areas of the business.
Compensation:$40,000 - $50,000 annually Responsibilities:
This role is PRIMARILY REMOTE but will require weekly meetings in the Sarasota/Bradenton area, more frequently at the start. The Accounting Clerk position will support the Controller and CFO as well as interfacing with the CEO. In addition to the usual accounting support, this person will be involved with administrative tasks for client management, vendor relations, and business operations. This individual must have exceptional verbal and written skills and be willing to step outside of their job description to assist both clients and team members as needed.

  • Record transactions to the general ledger for multiple entities
  • Calculate sales team commissions
  • Calculate and process affiliate payments
  • Code American Express transactions
  • Import credit card activity
  • Interact with clients regarding payments
  • Manage AR balances
  • Maintain accurate and compliant files
  • Field customer responses in a timely manner
  • Manage month-end process
  • Bank reconciliations
    Qualifications:Mandatory Requirements: Very detail oriented, quick learner, able to communicate well and take initiative and has office manager and/or bookkeeping experience. If you feel like you need a lot of training this probably isn't the position for you - although we are a very tight knit group who all work together very well as a team. Experience:Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation3+ years prior bookkeeper type experienceProficient in Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Office, and ExcelPrefer prior management of American Express corporate card programExperience in AP/AR for multiple entitiesVery organized and detail oriented
    • Key skills: Ability to build rapport quickly over the phone, strong sense of urgency and excellent organizational and time management skills, familiarity with dealing with accounts receivable, fast learner and good with technology. Essential to have experience with outlook, excel, dropbox, docusign, slack, paypal,, quickbooks online,, and zoom.
