Job Description Job Description Description: Under the direction
of the Senior Vice President of Facilities, this position is
responsible for the coordination and oversight of routine
operational repairs and small capital projects for the assigned
properties and facilities for the YMCA of Southwest Florida.
Additionally, she/he manages all facility teams and maintenance
within assigned service area and ensures day-to-day operations run
smoothly and actions taken are in line with the strategic goals of
YMCA of Southwest Florida as whole. Requirements: Essential
Functions: Schedule, oversee, and/or conducts maintenance related
work of YMCA properties and facilities assigned. Supervise and
manages a team including full and/or part-time maintenance staff,
custodians, porters, and contract vendors according to location.
Ensure that all maintenance operations are done in accordance with
YMCA of Southwest Florida policy and OSHA guidelines. Ensure the
facilities satisfy code compliance and industry regulations. Manage
assigned site budgets and can project future needs that can be
deferred. Acts as liaison between site-based administrators and the
Maintenance Dept. Frequently meets with, communicates, and
establishes positive relationships with internal clientele to
ensure site safety, security, and job satisfaction. Coordinate
logistics and ensures the completion of complex repairs. Hire and
oversee subcontractors for specialized needs and know the correct
procedures for the work being conducted. Identify and implement new
ways/tools/assets to improve productivity and increase efficiency.
Coordinate completion of site work orders, manages assigned
dashboards, and conduct associated reports Thoroughly inspect
facilities and initiates solutions for repair and improvement.
Ensure all managed work and preventive maintenance is prioritized
and completed on time. Ability to work various hours and be willing
to travel to locations to assist subordinates and/or to respond to
emergencies as they arise. Other duties as assigned and modified at
manager’s discretion. This position is not approved for remote
work. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Experience in project and work management, quality control, and
facility operations. Specialized Trade Knowledge on:
Troubleshooting electrical and HVAC systems. Knowledge of plumbing
systems and proper techniques to repair clogged lines, repair of
showers, sinks, toilets, and urinals. Working knowledge of Building
Trades, i.e., framing, drywall, flooring, finishing, and roofing. A
working knowledge of Microsoft office and general computer
knowledge is required. Must have prior CMMS experience creating and
developing technician schedules as well as preventative
maintenance. Valid Driver’s License. Excellent communication,
interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Ability to
comprehend and interpret instructions. Ability to work with Senior
Vice President of Facilities to prioritize projects. Ability to
supervise and direct a team as well as create a positive team
environment. Knowledge of building construction processes and
procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their application.
Ability to multitask and oversee multiple projects at various
locations at one time. Certifications and Training Requirements: ·
CPR and First Aid Certifications required · Annual Completion of
YMCA Blood Borne Pathogens Training · Annual Completion of YMCA
Child Sexual Abuse Prevention class · Staff Safety
