Responsibilities
The Nurse Director assumes 24 hour responsibility for directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of 4ST. The Nurse Director directs, supervises and evaluates the performance of the nursing staff, contributes to the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff, and - he/she supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department. - The Nurse Director plans and administers the annual budget in collaboration with the Divisional Director. The Nurse Director integrates evidence based practice utilizing the nursing process. - -Schedules staff in the most cost effective manner using Shift Hound. Proactively plans for future staffing needs by using forecasting data in Shift Hound. Ensures staff schedules are complete and published in OptiLink within the appropriate time frame. Ensures all staffing changes are made in Shift Hound. Monitors patient classification, patient assignments and reconciliation in Shift Hound. Ensures that the unit is following our systematic method for predicting the numbers and types of required resources and making equitable and safe patient assignments. Reviews Productivity in Optilink on a daily basis. Takes corrective action to adhere to productivity standards. Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times and other duties as assigned. -About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH): -Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for 65 years.     Qualifications
