Responsibilities RN - REGISTERED NURSE. We are accepting applications for PRN RNs. Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11-17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home. We are located in Manatee County. Southwest Florida offer a diverse mix of lifestyle options. The Registered Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. SKILLS Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, and interventions with patients. Knowledge of milieu management. Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects. Experience: 6 months nursing experience preferred. Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening and Pre-employment Drug Test. Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of Handle With Care prior to assisting with a restraining procedure. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
