The Interventional Radiology Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct/indirect, safe, and competent nursing care to patients, families, and appropriate others under the direct supervision of the Radiologists and the Director of Imaging Services.

Delivers general nursing care to patients in all areas of the Radiology/Imaging Department, assesses patient condition and takes immediate action in emergency situation. Responds to patient needs before, during and after procedures including assessment of condition, cardiac arrest, intravenous problems. Performs pre-examination and post-examination assessments for angiography, CT scan and minor special procedures. Hours needed M-F 8a-5p with 24/7 on call coverage for stroke.











Minimum Qualifications:




Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing.


ACLS (or obtained within 90 days of employment)




Current RN licensure in Florida


5 years current hospital experience in either med-surg, ED or critical care




BLS (or obtained within 90 days of employment)


Radiology Nursing Certification preferred (CRN) preferred
