Animal ER of University Park located in Bradenton, FL is searching for experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our team! Compensation: - $18 - $25/hr, based on experience - Shift differentials available for overnight hours! About the Job: - Assist with patient care, monitoring, treatments, restraint, and routine diagnostic tests (i.e. Taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading fecals) - Maintain inventory and stocking - Maintain & sterilize surgical instruments and equipment - Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, exam rooms, and treatment areas of hospital - Administer medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision - Feed and bathe patients - Answer phones and help clients with their pets - Other duties as assigned. Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years working in veterinary medicine. Prior Emergency experience is prioritized. - An understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including restraint. - Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members. - Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
