Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights -
Employment Type: Local Contract Job Title: Registered Nurse –
Trauma Step-Down / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Location: Bradenton,
FL Shift: Full-Time | 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating
Weekends Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Permanent Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver evidence-based nursing care to acutely
ill or post-trauma patients in the step-down or PCU setting. -
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and vital signs
accurately. - Administer medications and treatments in accordance
with physician orders and hospital policies. - Collaborate with
physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the
healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. - Educate patients and
families on care plans, recovery processes, and discharge
instructions. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the
electronic health record (EHR). - Recognize and respond to changes
in patient condition promptly, escalating care when necessary. -
Uphold infection prevention and patient safety standards at all
times. - Participate in quality improvement and performance
initiatives within the unit. Qualifications: Required: - Active
Florida RN License or Compact License (must obtain FL license
within 90 days if compact). - Minimum 1 year of recent RN
experience, preferably in a hospital setting. - Current BLS and
ACLS certifications (American Heart Association). Preferred: -
Experience in Progressive Care, Trauma, LTACH, Home Health, or
Rehab settings. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
