experience required License: Current license to practice as a
Registered Nurse in state/district required Certifications: PALS,
BLS, and ACLS required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or
NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired Description:
The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or
circulating duties for operative procedures. Adheres to standards
and appropriate aseptic techniques. Consults and coordinates with
team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intraoperative
patient care plans. Serves as a communication liaison to patients,
families, and members of the operating team. Prepares the operating
room for the patient and surgical procedure. Assembles equipment
and supplies, ensuring equipment is functional, and
supplies/implants are available. Call is required with a 30-minute
response time, with variable call requirements to meet the needs of
the department. Must live 100 miles away from the facility.
