Job Description:

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our premier medical team. This position will leverage cutting-edge imaging technology to provide diagnostic support, directly impacting patient care and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating CT imaging equipment and adept in patient interaction, maintaining high standards of safety and quality consistent with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements. Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section imagery of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Adjust scanning equipment and protocols to optimize image quality. Liaise with radiologists to determine appropriate scanning procedures. Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety. Administer contrast agents under physician direction when necessary. Maintain patient records and radiological service logs, ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Implement radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff. Assist radiologists in analyzing results of CT procedures when needed. Proficiency in operating CT scanning equipment. Strong understanding of radiology/medical terminology and pathology. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team. Certification in CT technology is highly preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
