Job Description:
Lee Health is seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Physical
Therapist to join our dynamic team in Southwest Florida. This
pivotal role focuses on providing urgent physical therapy to
patients in emergency settings, ensuring rapid and effective
rehabilitation to enhance recovery. The successful candidate will
be instrumental in managing acute physical conditions, designing
appropriate therapy plans, and working closely with emergency room
physicians to optimize patient outcomes. This unique position
demands a high degree of skill and flexibility, as well as
commitment to the health and well-being of our diverse patient
population. Evaluate patients' physical conditions swiftly to
develop appropriate therapy plans in an emergency setting.
Implement therapeutic interventions for acute injuries and
post-operative care to optimize patient outcomes. Collaborate with
physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate
physical therapy with overall emergency care. Record, update, and
maintain accurate patient reports and progress notes. Educate
patients and families about post-acute care and preventive measures
to avoid further injuries. Strong ability to quickly assess and
diagnose physical conditions in a high-stress environment.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with
healthcare teams and patients. Capability to perform and adapt
therapeutic interventions under urgent conditions. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state
license as a Registered Physical Therapist. BLS certification
required. CPR certified.
