Job Description:

Lee Health is seeking a dedicated Cat Scan Technologist to join our dynamic team in Southwest Florida, delivering top-notch radiological services. As a leading health system, Lee Health is committed to advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes using state-of-the-art technology. Our ideal candidate will operate CT (computed tomography) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes under the guidance of radiologists and other medical officers. Prepare and operate CT imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety. Explain scan procedures to patients, answering questions and easing concerns about the process. Position patients properly for CT scans to ensure accuracy of diagnostic images. Assist radiologists during complex radiological examinations. Maintain accurate patient records and manage imaging data. Implement radiation safety procedures to comply with government regulations and ensure safety of patients and staff. Continuously update technical knowledge and participate in educational opportunities to enhance expertise and maintain licensure. Proficient in using various CT imaging equipment. Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection principles. Excellent patient management and communication skills. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as positioning patients. Detailed-oriented with strong analytical skills. State license as required.
