Job Description:
Assistant Restaurant ManagerAssist the Restaurant General
Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant,
including managing staff, scheduling shifts, and ensuring that all
employees are properly trained and adhering to company policies and
procedures
- Monitor food and labor costs, and develop strategies to
increase profitability and reduce expenses
- Ensure that food quality, service, and cleanliness standards
are consistently met and maintained
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food
preparation is efficient and of high quality
- Manage inventory levels and ordering of supplies, and ensure
that all products are properly stored and rotated
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing and promotional
strategies to increase sales and attract new customers
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing
sanitation and safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with all
health codes and regulations
- Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns, and
resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors,
suppliers, and other stakeholders in the community
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements,
including those related to employment, safety, and food
service
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant General
Manager Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in restaurant management or a
related field, with a track record of success in achieving
operational goals
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability
to motivate and inspire staff to achieve their full potential
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
- Knowledge of food service industry best practices, including
food safety and sanitation, inventory management, and customer
service
- Familiarity with restaurant management software and technology,
including POS systems and online ordering platforms
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred,
but not required. Physical Requirements
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping,
twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and
repetitive hand and wrist motion. -
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as
operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office
equipment. - Exposures
- You may be exposed to airborne particles, caustic, chemicals,
electric current, moving parts, muscular strain, noise, and
odors.
