Responsibilities

The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) is member of the Hospital Executive Team. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), this position supports the integration, coordination and direction of nursing and patient care with the overall operation of the hospital. Assists CNO in ensuring the provision of the level of care required by current medical and nursing standards. Acts as CNO, when needed. Supports nursing and patient care to ensure that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of MMH and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The ACNO participates in the hospitals strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. The ACNO promotes a culture of Service Excellence with all customer groups. Provides day to day operational oversight for assigned departments. Manages assigned departments efficiently and effectively to maximize quality of services and profits of the hospital. Assists with service line and business development activities in the assigned areas of responsibility. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to MMH's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedure. Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times, other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required graduation from accredited school of nursing and Current Florida State RN Licensure

Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet and database. Ability to take and transcribe minutes

MS in nursing or related field

Knowledge of human resource management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards

A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in patient care services management

BLS required
