Suncoast Behavioral Health Center opened its doors in 2014 and provides the highest quality of behavioral healthcare for patients in a safe, secure and nurturing environment.

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center offers a unique treatment programs across inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient settings for adolescents, adults and mature adults.

In a highly specialized field of psychiatry, our goal is to promote cognitive, social, physical and emotional development to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to help our patients succeed.

The Hospital is looking for a Director of Admissions who will be responsible for directing the Admissions Department activities at the facility. As a clinician, this position provides direction to a staff of Specialists in the provision of psychiatric assessment services, including clinical evaluations, crisis intervention, and referrals. This position interfaces closely with the medical staff, fellow department heads and administration, treatment team/external case managers/managed care organizations, functions as a liaison with other hospital intake departments.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical area, such as counseling, social work or RN licensure (Bachelors or Master's) from an accredited school. * A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. * State of Florida RN, LCSW, LMHC or LMFT licensure required. * Above average communication skills, high level of initiative, motivation, independent judgement and organizational skills. Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
