Our 28-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit provides superior inpatient rehabilitative care in the setting of Blake Medical Center. This unit is the area’s first and only comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation center. The Inpatient Rehab Unit hosts a variety of patient diagnoses including:  Neurosurgery, Neurological Disorders (including Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis) , Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Trauma, Burn, Fractures, Limb amputations, Orthopedics, and medically complex conditions. This elite unit is ranked in the top 10% nationwide for quality of service and recognized by Newsweek Magazine as the #3 Inpatient Rehab Unit in Florida (and #27 in the nation).

Qualifications

Education 

• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.

Licensing/Certifications

• Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. 
• Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association required.
• Current ACLS certification preferred - required within 6 months of hire.
• National Board Certification (RN-BC) preferred - required within 6 months of hire or certification eligibility.

Qualifications

• One year or more of previous experience in an acute care/hospital setting required.
• Prior Charge/Supervisor RN experience.
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
