As a Primary Stroke Center and Award-winning
Heart Care and Chest Pain Center,
our Emergency
Department
is equipped with 19 beds plus 2 Trauma Bays, 1 Burn Bay (and
separate “fast track” beds) to provide exceptional 24-hour
emergency care for the patients we serve. We work
closely with the county’s EMS and Fire Crews and have Emergency
Medicine Specialists on staff. The Emergency Department
Nursing Team is committed to fulfilling our hospital’s mission
statement “to provide exceptional care to every patient, every
time.”

Qualifications · Nursing Diploma or ASN
required, BSN preferred · Current Florida State RN
license or compact state RN
license · Current BLS Certification
from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart
Association is required · Current ACLS preferred;
required within 6 months of hire · Minimum one year RN
experience preferred but not
required · Customer service abilities
including effective listening
skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment
and the ability to work with minimal supervision in
a fast paced environment · Ability to perform work that
requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting,
kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50
pounds
