Job Description:ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for receiving referrals for all inpatient hospital
services via direct phone line, fax machine, or email. Referrals
are expected to be addressed promptly and followed up with despite
the outcome.
- Coordinate admission process with Centerstone addiction and
hospital teams as well as Access Center staff; explain insurance
benefits and/or self-pay rates, and coordinate payment process with
Finance team; arrange for transportation when appropriate. -
- Conduct assessments at admissions and during the course of
treatment to determine what level of care is needed, using standard
guidelines.
- Work efficiently with team members including case managers,
nurses, therapists, physicians and residents to ensure patients are
informed of treatment options should additional treatment be deemed
appropriate.
- Maintain a welcoming and hospitable lobby area that enhances
the patient experience, ensure latest marketing materials are
stocked and available.
- Proactively track beds, discharges, and market facilities via
phone and email to fill vacancies.
- Track referrals, evaluate trends, and make recommendations to
marketing team.
- Manage project flow and provide updates accordingly. -
- Brainstorm out of the box solutions for day-to-day
challenges.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and
virtual methods.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong desire to enhance the patient experience
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and
develop/maintain strong working relationships with staff,
teammates, colleagues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience using EMR
- Multi-tasking, time management, self-motivated, independent,
and can work well with teamsQUALIFICATIONSEducation Level
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Business or related field or
three or more years relevant work experience in health care,
customer service, insurance authorizations, or sales.Years of
Experience Without a Bachelor's degree, three years of relevant
work experience is required. Certification/Licensure - N/APHYSICAL
