QualificationsInterventional Radiology TechnologistWe are currently
seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist in our Special
Procedures department. You will operate medical diagnostic imaging
equipment and assist in imaging -procedures such as angiography and
cardiac catheterization, as well as those performed in the
Interventional Radiology (IR) Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and
recording/monitoring patient status).We prioritize patient care.

Technologist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and performs
procedures and care in a caring, compassionate, and respectful
manner
- Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe,
competent manner in accordance with established operating
procedures
- Accurately perform technical radiographic procedures in
accordance with established operating procedures and routines
- Assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with
departmental policy and procedure
- Obtain high-quality radiographic images and review quality of
radiographs to ensure quality standards have been met
- Obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to
exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains
informed consent
- Maintain effective communication with patient providing
explanation of procedures within scope of practice as well as with
caregiver colleagues to include radiologists
- Responsible for rotating call assignmentsWhat qualifications
you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date
- State Registered Radiologic Technician
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
