Summary of Job Description
The position, Maintenance Lead, is responsible for coordinating and
supervising the activities of the maintenance team in setting up,
installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment. The
position coordinates preventative and predictive maintenance
activities, with a focus on minimizing downtime and repair
Directs department personnel in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic,
pneumatic maintenance and repair of production machinery and
Assists in planning and maintaining a continual work schedule for
Develops schedules and assists in controlling a preventative
Administers general preventative maintenance duties utilizing the
maintenance CMMS system.
Assists team members in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and
Inspects jobs in progress and at completion to ensure that
standards of workmanship and safety are maintained.
Supports in maintaining inventories of maintenance material,
supplies and repair parts at required levels through inventory
control and purchase requisition procedures.
Recommends, plans and implements equipment needs to improve
production efficiency and/or achieve cost reduction; supports
tool/equipment design and fabrication for reprocessing
Works with manufacturing engineers on production equipment layouts
and the modification of the facility.
Ensures that high standards of safety are developed, met and
maintained, to include; lock-out/tag-out procedures,
start-up/shut-down procedures, confined space training, etc.
Arranges or provides training as required.
Participates in annual budget preparation.
Administers company policies and practices and ensures
Responsible for maintaining a clean/safe work environment.
May at times, monitor and prioritize calls taken from various
departments to coordinate maintenance mechanics to respond and
resolve equipment issues.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety
Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills
May be required to perform other duties, responsibilities and
functions that are assigned.
Bachelor-s Degree in related field or relevant experience.
Minimum five (5) years- experience in maintenance leadership
Valid driver-s license with class E qualification and clean driving
Solid English language skills, reading and writing skills.
Must have solid math and computation skills.
Preferred Qualifications to complete Essential Functions
Highly skilled in troubleshooting production equipment and
Advanced knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical,
mechanical, and computer-controlled systems.
Proven leadership skills and experience in employee relations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to

the ability to perform in high pressure and dynamic situations.
